...and keeping in mind that your vote will not affect who becomes the nominee (it will be Biden regardless), what will you probably do?

I'll vote for a candidate I preferred over Biden, to express my support for the things I preferred about that candidate. | |

When CT has it's primary I will vote for Biden.

Voting is tomorrow for Rhode Island and frankly, since my vote won't count anyway, I am not going to put us all at risk.

"to show solidarity/support." (!) Where's the choice of iron commitment to electing our best chance to secure our futures and those of our children?
EITHER Joe Biden or Donald Trump will be president of the United States from 2021-2025. And that candidate's coattails will decide who has power in congress and many state governments.
Wherever weak support for our candidate was shown in the primary totals, it would be twisted into a weapon used from now to November 3 by literally thousands of enemy agents to undermine confidence in our candidate.
Thank goodness returns from real Democratic votes have shown consistently high levels of determination to elect the strongest Democrats and get rid of the Republicans. I have now voted by mail twice (due to GA Republican chicanery), but we'd be taking a stand in line at the polls just as we would for groceries if we hadn't.
We also share the need to stay safe, but Republicans staying in power the biggest danger to our family and us. The appallingly close gap between Biden and Trump, in many states less than needed to overcome Trump's electoral college advantage, makes me wonder if my husband and I might survive this Republican-enabled pandemic only to die from another, or some other dreadful doing, during Trump's second term. It's not as if we haven't been warned.
