3. ffs, it's not a "blow to American democracy" when you get your

ass handed to you by voters. What is a blow to democracy is to keep twisting the two losses now to make yourself a victim. Honesty is important.

5. Why are the Bernie Bros such bad losers?

Despite spamming the boards almost 24/7 in the first few months of primary season, and proclaiming Bernie the clear winner after a couple small state wins, your candidate did not win. Your candidate ended his campaign. Joe Biden our preferred candidate. The national health crisis mandates not risking the public health by holding a primary where only one candidate in the race.
Why are you guys always such sour grapes? I thought you supported party unity? Did you mean you only support party unity if Bernie was the winner? It sure seems like it.

More importantly, are people supposed to do like they did in WI and risk infection (which some people actually got) just to stand in line to vote for someone who has already conceded?

10. If This Is An Official Campaign Statement, Sir

Then not just Weaver but Sanders needs to sit down and shut up, not to rise again until they smell the coffee.

The inflammatory nonesense in this puling screed points to why so many have no trust at all for Sanders, and continue in the conviction he means to make trouble when the convention commences. If Weaver continues in Sanders' employ after this, and Sanders does not repudiate his statements, and declare his satisfaction with the reasonable action of the New York board, he will have given solid evidence of bad faith, and made it hard to argue against the proposition he intends to make trouble down the line.

15. Weaver Is Sanders' Creature, Sir

His mouth speaks with Sanders' tongue.

Blame rests with the principal, not the mere agent, unless the principal takes steps to discipline the agent and correct the agent's behavior. Till he does, these words are Sanders' words, in Weaver's mouth.

24. How is it disenfranchising voters? Biden's the only candidate

Bernie suspended his campaign & the other candidates in the race ended their campaign.
Every candidate who presented a clear challenge has since endorsed VP Biden.

This is the Primary.
Support the strongest candidate the Democratic Party has, for November against Trump and his total collapse of American Democracy.
Its pretty simple.

However, what she's doing is more like playing the game of both sideism
As well as playing the 'outrage factor' to keep one's name in the headlines.

We see that gameplay from every social media influencer on a weekly basis.
This outrage will be replaced with another in a couple weeks.

meh...

21. Oh Yeah! If there is anyway to show the world how a true democracy works....

Just cancel all the elections, or if you bother to have them, run only one candidate. We'll learn from this in 2024 and just name 5 or 6 states as sort of a show. Save millions by not having elections for the other states and just go with maybe 35 or 40 % of the nation's democrats bothering to vote. We could choose a couple of states that never vote Democratic and add some from the north and west willy-nilly and just go with what they decide. What could go wrong with that?

New York could have been the state that shows how quickly a mail in only election could be established. They could have eliminated all the talk against the only sane way to have an election during a pandemic. I agree with the idea that this will be used by the GOP to argue, maybe successfully that we really don't need an election in Nov. 2020.

Yikes!

28. There Is Still A Primary In New York, Sir

Twenty counties which had no local offices on the ballot will do nothing, but odds are these are small and comprise but a small proportion of the primary electorate. All the rest have local offices, and measures, even a special election of two on their ballots.

All that has happened is that no one who is not actively campaigning for the Democratic party's nomination for President appears on any ballot. That hardly strikes me as some calamitous infringement on the right of the people to vote, let alone some vest-pocket exercise in fascism.

34. Well Sarge, if that's what you call an election where you are from fine....

but no one on the ballot in 20 counties and no presidential candidates on any ballot in a presidential election year is something I don't remember fighting for in the sixties.

Yes, I am not running but I want delegates! When will this fucking madness end?

Biden will be in his second term and Bernie and his crew are still going to still be complaining about delegates! Lose with a little self-respect. Right now, the way you will be remembered is not pretty.

This shit's been going on since pre- 2015. Brunch with Bernie on RT's debut into American cable news.

There's no self respect required, with a mission like that.

Been there, done that & heard it all before.
And we all know why, too.
😐

Props to your post 👍

36. One of the unfortunate legacies of the 2008 primaries is this absurd belief that the DNC tells

the states what to do and they have to comply. This is, of course, utter nonsense.

The states don't "break rules," they set election dates. Admittedly it can get complicated in terms of how the DNC and RNC deal with, especially, as in the case of Florida, when it was done entirely by the other political party.

What exactly does Bernie think the DNC can do? Does he want them stripped of their delegates to the convention? Could that even be realistically expected to get the Board of Elections to change their minds?

I do wish they would just do a mail-in primary. That would make more sense IMO.

Of course, I am not certain how much of an in person convention we are going to wind up having.

42. First: Bernie still has Jeff Weaver on the payroll? Second:

Not a good look to be equating a public health precaution during a pandemic with a "blow to American democracy," because that's the same thing the lockdown protesters are saying about stay at home orders, and it's just as wrong.

We do not need a repeat of the Wisconsin primary, which shows what happens when a state tries to change over the system to mail-in ballots with too little time.

I also have to wonder what Bernie's campaign and supporters would be saying if the shoe was on the other foot, and Biden was trying to reverse a a public health decision after suspending his campaign, in order to "get more influence" in writing the party platform.
