(14,956 posts)2. This also seems to tell us
that the Coronavirus was not spreading around all that much in the US until March. If Covid-19 had been running wild here before that, the spike in the number of deaths would have happened sooner than it did. All the people who've convinced themselves they had Covid-19 back in December or January should probably reconsider.

(62,444 posts)3. Yeah, that's a tough one
I had gone on a trip in late January, and picked up something that had me sick for a couple of days. I can understand the desire to believe it was this, but the deaths just werent there.

Look at the (confirmed cases) vs. (confirmed and possible cases). Belgian reports are always the highest number, that is why we have such a bad score compared to other countries (who only report the confirmed cases)
But excess mortality seems to prove this is the right way to count.
I'm sorry to say but if you would count the "Belgian way" you are well over 100,000...

(62,444 posts)8. Totally enjoyed the Ronde van Vlaanderen, Lockdown Edition
Greg Van Avermaet also did pretty well in the Digital Swiss 5 this past week.
The Flemish version was better than the English version, since they included live shots of some of the actual climbs, like Kwaremont and Paterberg.
Het Nieuwsblad's tribute to health care workers among the families of the riders was touching....

I can think of no other cause except possible Covid deaths?
