(3,321 posts)I just was not expecting it. And the comedic timing is perfect. She swings for the fences on that scream, and doesn't hold back. Totally perfect self-contained joke.

(51,551 posts)I can appreciate the frustration many people are feeling having to suddenly go all online real fast. Teachers have been absolute superstars for adapting their lesson plans and coursework so quickly.

(2,952 posts)a lot of these videos seem to come out reversed L-to-R.
She seems to have a wedding band on her fret-hand. So I think she might be a righty and the video is reversed.
ETA: and, rewatching, she also has her watch on the fret hand, further supporting my theory that she's strumming right-handed and the video is reversed.
And I do love the way the anchor set up her co-anchor, and the break-down in the replay. Well executed gotcha!

(14,796 posts)as well as conducting her 5th grade classes from home also has a 13YO daughter doing school at home, a husband home and bored to death and a guy that rooms with them that's out of work. She was smart and made herself a special office in their basement just for her on-line teaching.
She told me this is far more stressful and time consuming than driving to her school and teaching there every day.
I did take her a big pack of toilet paper a while back, sent her a book of poetry and considering mailing her some restaurant gift cards.
That's about all an 'ole dad in isolation can do.
I miss seeing her and my granddaughter and getting their hugs........

I've rarely seen my wife laugh harder than when this ran on our local news last week.
HILARIOUS! Kudos to the teacher!!!

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
