Companies to cut pay to workers ,even union workers. Trump will promote everyone's wages be cut claiming more bs excuses to give the owners, the wealthy, more money or protections from losses. They are already trying to cut health care and benefits. Wage cuts from trump will be demanded or else.

(86,536 posts)there will be no more funding unless companies are exempt from litigation from employees who are forced back to work in unsafe conditions and if they get sick. So this attack is from the Senate as well. Perhaps putting it in an EO it absolves McTurtle from using that as a bludgeon in Congress.
Either way, there will be protest from the afflicted... us.

(3,280 posts)It's a little early, it really wasn't scheduled to start until the downward slope of the virus curve. Anyway, putting the screws to the poor and working class, cutting wages, cutting services, and cutting paid-in benefits is all par for the course for a Republican administration. Remember: This isn't Trumpism, this is the standard operating procedure for the GOP, and this was wholly predictable.

(15,642 posts)And I'll be pissed if we have one high level Democrat saying anything like "we all need toshoulder/share some of the pain" like I heard in 2008/09. That still gripes me to this day -- it directly affected my income at the time and continues to in retirement as a result today. After 30+ years of supply side economics dominating federal economic policy that one really hurt!
