I don't blame them. They are just reading the tea leaves. It isn't their fault that our leaves are of the tea party variety.

(65,203 posts)...states reopening, more than anything else. A guy from IHME was on CNN yesterday. This is what he called the reason "primarily" they raised the estimate.
While that makes sense, it's still far underestimating the toll.
It was 66k before yesterday.
That left them with a delta of 7,500 over another 14 weeks. That's 80 per day. We're at nearly 3,000 per day now.
There's still something wrong with the model, even with the early reopening adjustment.
The upper range is around 120,000. The regular reporting the best case scenario is foolish, because it's not going to happen.

Americans spend less on food as a percentage of income than other countries.
No wonder obesity is a huge problem in America, and obesity causes a myriad of other maladies.

Maybe that is what is happening here, except the stupider part of the species is spreading this crap and trying to kill the part of the species that is evolving, because they want to hide evidence of evolution....
I definitely feel like I am not part of a large portion of the human species. There is just something fundamentally wrong with that other part of the human species.
