I just got a coronavirus antibody test this morning, results are due Friday.
I'm in Colorado, limited testing but I was the second one in line, they swabbed the back of my throat, similar to a strep test.
Update, just received my results, negative on both tests, no antibodies unfortunately...just went back to work today ![]()

1. Can't get any sort of testing here unless you're in ICU.

3. Wouldn't a positive result be better, meaning the OP already
has the virus?

15. Yeah. It would be.
People act like COVID is some sort of taint or impurity, to be avoided at all costs because it kills you or somebody else.
It's like a demon, and is treated with the same mystical fear and superstition by many. |

4. I hope you studied hard
That always leads to a better result on a test, in my experience.

5. Antibody or Covid 19 test? There is a difference, and I though the antibody test was a blood draw
to look for antibodies in the blood
A positive antibody test would mean you were exposed to the virus at sometime and had an immune response |

11. you we're right, it's a blood draw, the website listed three locations for the active covid test and
two also did the antibody test, it wasn't very clear on their website and I went to the wrong one so I got the blood draw antibody test a few minutes ago, results in three days

14. confusing website, just got a call from the testing company, they said they are running both tests at
the three locations (which is wrong) they didn't want to run the antibody test if I have an active infection but they agreed after I explained to them, one, I wasn't asked if I suspected had an active infection at the first site yesterday, and two, their website was not clear about the which tests were available at the three locations.
and they don't know either...I hope the test is accurate. |

8. Have you been feeling any symptoms?
Or is because you may have been exposed by someone close to you?
