Just had a flash of understanding

(Encouraged by my just re-reading the Harry Potter books)

Mike Pence is Peter Pettegrew - aka Wormtail. The way the character snivels and grovels at Voldemort's feet is a perfect comparison. I would also consider Trump to be like Voldemort, but Trump isn't as smart or not as hard working as The Dark Lord!

Someone should combine those two franchises in one, massive epic - with a Trumpian context.

but since you mentioned that you recently reread Harry Potter, 7 of the 11 most-read (Audible and Kindle) books on Amazon this week are the Harry Potter series and it looks like they've all been in the top 20 for between 130-150 weeks.

I think that's amazing.

We've been enjoying them so far. Almost done the third book.

We'll read a book and then watch the corresponding movie.

It's a fun series, I must admit.

I read them with my two daughters when they first came out. I remember the long wait we had between books four and five. JK Rowling had a baby during those years - some nerve! Making us wait.

What a great experience you are having with your child!

my 12 yo daughter picked up the series last week with her extra reading time. She's reading Azkaban already.

We spent our entire walk yesterday talking Harry Potter. It's wonderful sharing that experience, isn't it?

I didn't start the series until after Deathly Hallows was released, figuring they weren't books for adult males. Realized quickly how wrong I was. Read the whole series over that summer.

It's a wonderful series! I've also gotten hooked on her murder mystery series under the pen name Robert Galbraith. The fifth one is due this fall.

I agree with you. Wormtongue was crafty, though. Although he was being "aided" by Saruman. Pence is dumb as a rock and less useful.

Lucius Malfoy: kicking a helpless person down the stairs without a second thought, gleefully watching as his lord and master tortures and tries to murder an injured 14-year-old boy, while putting on an honorable face in public and hopelessly devoted to a bigoted and archaic belief system.

Giuliani is Peter Pettigrew.

Trump is an evil Ludo Bagman.

Yeah, I've read the books, too.
