Health experts from the Trump, Obama, and Bush administrations want the government to pay Americans

The coronavirus pandemic has brought together a group of health experts who worked under the Trump, Obama, and Bush administrations.

The bipartisan group wrote a letter to Congress on Monday contending that the US should spend $46.5 billion to try to ensure a safe reopening of its economy.

Among the names were Mike Leavitt, a secretary of health and human services under President George W. Bush; Andy Slavitt, who served as the director of Medicare and Medicaid under President Barack Obama; and Scott Gottlieb, President Donald Trump's former Food and Drug Administration chief. In total, 16 top health experts signed on to the letter to House and Senate leaders, which was first published by NPR.

It would be a brilliant idea and probably do more to get this thing under control than most other methods, as of right now, but the Republicans in Congress and Trump are not going to let it happen, sadly.

3. Even most in Congress aren't coming out and saying something.

$400,000,000 that was supposed to go to the WHO is now going straight into Franklin Graham's pockets (and other Christian orgs).

That is money that could go to help come up with a vaccine, treatment, or something, *anything* to stop the Covid virus.

Trump is doing whatever he wants and nothing is being done to stop him. Nothing. No one is stopping him. The three branches of government here are supposed to be co-equal and have checks and balances. Trump is doing whatever the he wants. No one is checking him on this stuff.
