(12,265 posts)I have been giving most of my extra to the homeless shelter here, they are really hurting, but getting rid of the turtle is important for all of us.

(23,204 posts)May your generous contribution bear fruit!
I'm hoping to maintain a series of smaller donations that will approach that (no guarantee, tho, the way things are going for me...)--perhaps together, and with several thousand of our friends, we can achieve the goal of kicking his ass to the Moscow sewers.

(54,330 posts)I could, so I did. Oh, and I made this a while back with some friends.........

(54,330 posts)I managed to do just the music track with my TFT pals in Atlanta. My partner from the Parody Project in the Pacific Northwest was given free rein to do the video as he saw fit, and this was the result. It seems to be enjoying a slight new round of people viewing it. I hope all Kentucky is singing in by November!

(149,580 posts)She lost that race, but not badly, especially for a complete novice. She made a respectable showing; the final percentages were something like 52% to 48%.
I wrote her and said stay in the public eye and run for something again. I think a lot of people wrote her, urging her on.
I was thrilled to see her take on MoscowMitch.
I continue to support her candidacy.

(7,501 posts)first time I've ever had an issue it just stalled after I clicked donate. When I didn't get an acknowledgement I emailed Act Blue to see if it was pending. Got an acknowledgement but nothing since. Not exceedingly happy with Act Blue right now.

(4,980 posts)And bonus small donations whenever Moscow Mitch does something irritatingly dangerous and stupid - so lots of cathartic contributions from me to McGrath. Shes a good candidate, so that makes it even better.

(2,023 posts)I also donated $20 two or three weeks ago in response to one of those emails for several Democratic Senate candidates, and I believe she was on that list. The problem is, I get DOZENS of emails per day asking me to donate to various Democratic candidates and left-leaning causes. There is no way that I can afford to give money to more than a small fraction of them. I wish them all well, but I am a middle-class retiree living on a fixed income. I'll probably donate to the Amy McGrath campaign another time or two before the November election, because I would dearly LOVE for her to pry that turtle loose from his chokehold on the U.S. Senate. What he did to Merrick Garland was particularly galling. We should not have let him get away with that. We should have raised such a huge stink about that as to make it impossible for him to get away with it. I am seeing Amy McGrath ads on TV here in Missouri, which is good.

(10,885 posts)She, Jamie Harrison (opponent of Lindsey Graham), and of course Joe Biden are on top of my donation list.
RI is solidly blue, so I can spread my RI dollars to wherever they're necessary.
