seeing teens/middle/high schoolers out and about in your area? Not here....

living next to a big popular park and a nice beach I rarely see any teens out and about no matter what time of day. granted the beach is not a surf beach or a trendy party beach and the park is just grass and trees....one wonders to what are they up?

The boys across the street are out often. Their parents are teachers and spend a good deal of time with their kids even before the lock down.

The ones with connections to the golfcourse are riding their electric scooters up and down the green.

And I often see 5-6 bikes by the creek

But, it's obvious white privilege is behind the kids playing on the golfcourse. No body else's kids have been given that much liberty in twenty five years that I've lived here. I even heard one of the kids today, about five, yell out, "grandpa!" to someone teeing off on the tee box. The kid was on the golfpath, within hitting range.

It's a very strange situation. I once caught one of the older boys hiding behind a tree on the fairway in an obvious effort to watch what I was doing. He wasn't being discrete and even stepped away from the tree and took a defiant stance. I mean, what did he think I was going to do? Chase him? Banjo mindset and it's not the first time it's happened.

I think they're egged on by their parents or granddaddies. And on Easter Sunday weekend they set off an M-80 behind their house. Very loud. They corrected their "mistake" the next day by trying to set if off behind my house.

And then, there's the case of the electric scooters. It's older kids out there on the fairway. I can see them driving on the street, assuming it's legal. But I wonder if the people at the Country Club know what's going on?

a parent or two and a child or two on bicycles. Or sometimes out walking. When I go for a walk, I sometimes see what looks like some middle school kids playing in a front yard part way down a block I pass. I suspect they are siblings.

Overall I'm seeing a lot more people out walking.

I think during the day they're elearning.
I see them riding bikes now & then, but I'm thinking more after 230, and distance school is over.
That's mostly say 5-8 grade kids.
Seeing very little of high school age kids.
