News conference, FL governor announces Phase 1 reopening beginning Monday May 4

Bars and restaurants can open dining, 25% seating , social distancing for outside areas

Movie theaters, close personal contact services, hair salons etc. remain closed. Schools remain closed

Biggest population counties will remain closed, Miami- Dade, Palm, 2 others

Hospitals can reopen non urgent surgeries if they choose.

Beaches in other parts of state other than Miami- Dade can open with restrictions. Local govts will most likely follow state directions, though more beaches are opening May 1.

PBC has a lower % of deaths and cases than the red counties. We are almost totally suburban, and our county leadership, whom I trust, says we have done a good job with things. Miami-Dade is the one really being slammed.

here in FL because our county north of Atlanta is not expecting to "peak" until early June and is asking the governor, etcetera, for medical assistance because hospitals are likely to be overwhelmed.
