Global drug maker AstraZeneca signed a deal with Vanderbilt University Medical Center to develop antibodies identified at the school’s lab. Vanderbilt has been screening the blood of Covid-19 survivors, isolating antibody-producing white blood cells, and using them to clone potential treatments. Under the agreement, Vanderbilt is providing those antibodies to AstraZeneca, which will choose the best candidates for clinical development.
