2. It's going to be a while before I feel comfortable going to a restaurant.

Arkansas is going to start opening restaurants May 11 with distancing restrictions, but I wonder how many will actually open their dining rooms.

I managed a fine dining restaurant for 13 years.

I still have many friends in the business.

I feel for them. I really do.

But I know I wouldn't want to dine in any restaurant until there is a vaccine. I don't know how fair it is for servers to be subjected to interacting with the public in such close quarters. Masks or not.

4. I know, and I miss restaurants.

I know we're supposed to get takeout to support them during the lockdown, but the restaurant experience is what matters to me. I can cook much of the same food at home, and takeout is never quite hot enough for me.

We do get takeout Chinese once in a while, and it's usually pretty good.
