6. No, he didn't. This delivery will come out of the Postal Service's pocket.

The Postal Service delivers millions of pieces of Official Government mail that they are not reimbursed for.

8. Yes, the Postal Service will bill Congress, but Congress will refuse to pay, as it does every year.

The Postal Service tracks this usage and lists it as Revenue Foregone.

Other examples of Revenue Foregone is discounts for non-profits, libraries, Matter for the Blind, military mail, Franked mail, etc.

The Postal Service is required by law to observe these discounts, and in theory the Congress is supposed to pay them back.

But every year, the Congress will pass a bill denying the payment.

If the Postal service was paid all the fees and services owed to it by the Federal government, they would be in good shape.

5. Got mine today. What a waste of money (though I'm glad USPS gets it).

I didn't need a letter that tried to convince me that money from the US Treasury (which was ours in the first place) came to me only through the generosity of His Lardship. I could have supplemented my TP supply but it was too scratchy.

Addressed to "Current Resident, The White House, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, DC 20500"

It will have "RESIGN NOW!!" written at the top (in Sharpie, of course), along with a little bit about the waste of taxpayer money for this stunt, and "ODSTOPITI!!" below that (Slovenian for resign, according to Google translate).

The reverse will have "RENUNCIAR!!" in an area without Sharpie bleed-through.

We will also be using several extra stamps in a show of support for the USPS.
