Can somebody please tell me what the current Flynn noise is all about?

All of a sudden, the republicans are whining and making noises about Flynn as though some event has occurred that "completely exonerates" him.

What the hell are they yelling about? Trump fired him for lying and he pled guilty to a crime. What the fuck are they doing? What happened?

4. There has come to light a memo by one of the FBI investigators.

As I understand it, one of the two FBI investigators who questioned Flynn wrote a memo around the time of the questioning. In the memo, the investigator wrote something to the effect that one goal of the investigation could be to get Flynn to make an incriminatory admission which would lead to his prosecution. The memo further suggests that another goal could be to get Flynn to lie, thereby giving the FBI the means to go after other targets. The right wingers are now exclaiming that the memo is proof of a "deep-state" conspiracy by Comey, Strzok, Page and other government officials to force Flynn out of public service.

Of course, I think the right-wingers' outcry is simply noise designed to deflect criticism of Trump in this election year. I think the memo in question lays out standard investigative strategies.
