Obama was quick to define Romney as an out of touch elitist whose company, Bain, ravaged community (those Bain ads dominated the narrative in the summer of 2012).
The swiftboating of Kerry took place mostly in the summer.

(1,262 posts)What will eventually doom Trump's re-election will come in the fall, when people get their 401K statements and find out their retirement accounts have gone down. The statements for the quarter ending September 30, 2020 will be received in early October, which will be within 30 days of the election day.
If the coronavirus issue hasn't been satisfied by mid-October, that too, will doom Trump's re-election chances.
