(154,021 posts)I stopped receiving the Nigerian scam (that look from there) a long time ago.
These are new addresses I think. So after sharing, where do you think it went?
It just struck my funny bone.

(28,581 posts)I was looking for a house to rent. I found one in my price range on craigs list. I was thrilled that I could afford it and it had enough space for all. I emailed the owner and through a number of emails they told me they had gone to NIGERIA as missionaries and wre going to sell the house but decided to hold off and rent instead. I decided to check it out because the emails were overly religious and over friendly. I did some searching and found the house had been (stil is) up for sale and the owners name matched the name in the email.
I asked the person when I could see the house and the response was that since they were so far away and they had the keys that I needed to fill out a rental form with all my personal information and send it along with the first months rent and they would send me a key.
I did not do this of course. Instead I emailed the realtor. The response " the police are already investigating".
I wonder how many people naively fell for this.
