I listened to the mayor of Atlanta last night speak about how they are increasing their testing which may be what we are seeing now, the truth. The deaths from reopening won't be seen for another 2 or 3 weeks. Georgia is going to be a disaster.

Florida even stopped reporting deaths, reporters have to dig to get the numbers out. Just imagine if Trump had his own army of press people spewing propaganda.

The biggest lie out there is that the M$M is liberal. Even MSNBC perpetrates the right wing narrative.

It's talking about the narrative that matters.

Fox says that President Obama beats his wife, MSNBC says no he doesn't, and CNN says we need more information, either way they are still talking about Obama beating his wife.

Somebody gets it. Control the narrative is the game.

Tournament poker players at a final table know this. There are some hands you go all-in if you’re the first to act, but never call somebody else’s bet if they act before you.

Being first matters, being second is 99% of the time a weaker position.

The increased number of cases is still too large even after weeks of practicing social distancing. We needed to wait until either the middle of May or the latter part of the month. Now we will be putting with similar or increased numbers of people being infected through at least July.

It's beginning to look like at lot college campuses are going to open in the fall to provide another Petri dish suitable for infections. I recall that during my first year of college there was a bacterial issue with the water in Georgetown. On the first weekend during the fall semester, all incoming first-year were required to go to an orientation camp. Approximately one-third of the students had to be transported back to campus because they were laid out with "the grunge." I didn't get it myself, but I lost about 15 pounds over the next week since I was trying to avoid drinking the water. What's odd though is that we could watch how the grunge spread around the rest of the state as the other family members that helped moved in the students were affected. The situation with COVID-19 is going to be much worse.

Seems as though Jared-of-all-trades is in charge. I think all the Botox reached his "brain" and he sees silver linings everywhere. He is no politician, but he has read books, now he knows how government works. So we are in good hands.

benefit of nepotism, born on third base but thinks he hit a triple, lacks insight and empathy, married to a plastic wife, in a position he did not earn and is not qualified for but is all too happy to use to enrich himself and fuck America - it's not hard to see why Trump truly respects him

This is when I really hate the fact that most of our social circle is conservative. There are signs that they're coming out of their bombshells and ready to interact. I have my own answer ready, "No thanks. We're following the science."

And the virus explodes in the population. Didn't need a prophet to foresee that.

It's like the GA state government thinks it can simply ignore gravity an it will simply go away. Sorry, reality doesn't work that way.

this disease. And that was before the governor relaxed social distancing restrictions and closures. So this spike in cases probably cannot be blamed on the recent re-openings. However, if that many people were infected then, imagine how many are being infected now with relaxed restrictions. But we won't see these new cases for a while. I think that this information is enough to cause the governor to re-impose more strict restrictions. It remains to be seen whether he will or not.
