Personally, I don't mind if someone, man or woman, says I have pretty legs. I just take it as a compliment, not a come-on.

(34,661 posts)In the sixteen years of B to B service and sales and having HR and Office Managers as Contact persons for those sales, the stories about the Night mare employee both male and female seemed to prevail across the Cube Rat Empires.
Had a Mega Mortgage Company who paid out tens of thousands in a claim that was later proven false. It cost the HR person her job as a result.

(6,216 posts)How old was Tara Reade when this alleged misbehavior occurred?
Yo_Mama_Been_Loggin
(133,981 posts)So doing the math she would have been 29 maybe 30 then.
She also has a Juris Doctorate AKA a law degree. Not some naïve little girl.

(6,216 posts)A 29 year old woman knows when she has been sexually molested and should not be afraid to lodge a complain saying exactly that.
But who knows what women do when they are afraid of powerful men. As a man I can not and should not judge women.

You can judge her credibility and her story which is falling apart at the seams.

HUGE backpeddling now that there may be a paper trail. Hmmm...

(80,062 posts)if she has a lawyer speaking for her at times. Have others? Have to say though--I have not really followed this story-just see stories such as this on and off.

(43,850 posts)They want U of Delaware to potentially make public thousands of pages of god knows what from Joe Bidens career and she wont make public her therapists notes. Mind you I wouldnt either because thats a threat to her, the therapist and everyone ever needing therapy but while youre not going after one you shouldnt advocate for going after the other. In this day and age things are weaponized beyond all reason.
mzmolly
(52,719 posts)she didn't. If a complaint about (story of the day) exists the Senate would currently have custody and Biden asked for the release of any such records.
I believe that her therapists notes should remain private regardless, as the law dictates.

(11,780 posts)So now she realizes someone might find the complaint document. Maybe they already have. I havent heard. But what thought came to mind is if she was accusing trump hed just say shes not my type with some snarky remark (shes not pretty enough for me to abuse) and his crowd would all snicker. Seriously, how can anyone compare the two?

(7,654 posts)she filed an intake form??
One assumes she means the initial form you fill out when making a complaint so someone can talk to you about it.
I also assumes that she then declined to file an official complaint or she'd say she did.
Which means there's likely not going to be any complaint at all, because I'm pretty an initial intake form with nothing else ain't going into the system, particularly if nothing else is filed.
It also explains, in the event that we actually believe this version, why no one in the Biden campaign knew anything about it. She didn't go to them, and she didn't follow through with whatever she gave the folks in whatever office she filled out that form, again, assuming for the sake of argument she even did that.

(5,969 posts)there is no possibility for Biden to refute her claims with actual documentation which is a theme for this whole saga. She filed a complaint but then she didn't for the crime she alleges...but actually she meant that specific crime that she didn't mention until a few months ago.

Hav
(5,969 posts)a complaint filed on a clipboard, I'm inclined to agree.
I'd believe that she had personal problems with others in the office which would be in line with her mother's call to Larry King but the rest is fantasy.

(38,396 posts)There are a million holes and inconsistencies in her stories over time. It is up to the media to ensure that all of these are made very clear to the public. Or simply let the non-story drop, as they would with any other weak or worse story.

(23,560 posts)someone please correct me if i'm wrong on this....... but for women that do not report rape (whether they are scared, embarrassed, blame themselves...), i would think if they were too scared to do so, that they would not risk drawing the wrath of their attacker by filing ANY complaint against them, even if it were for a lesser thing like sexual harassment.
Is it normal for a victim to "go after" their rapist on a lesser charge even if they choose not to accuse them of rape?
