The armed protestors don't help Trump. Even regular conservative folks don't identify with them

Most people see them and are creeped out and they identify them with Trump's base and Trump himself. They are hurting their cause and hurting Trump's chances in Nov. Let them continue making fools of themselves.

Standing around with automatic weapons, etc., meant to intimidate their fellow Americans during a crisis like this is deplorable and certainly does not help them seem patriotic or anything other than dangerous and foreboding.

I take those weapons to be meant for their fellow citizens as a threat and only imagine them being use, not as defense, but offense to ravage, steal, rape and kill others if they get the opportunity to do so. In other words, these are not wholesome Americans looking out for all of us, they are potential, bad Road Warrior characters who you would want to avoid at all costs if things breakdown and they can begin their barbaric marauding and theft at gunpoint.

That's not something anyone who is a concerned citizen of this county would or should identify with. Those are potential criminals letting you know what they are about.

... but i don't think popular support is very important to the Trump campaign at this point anyway. they have their solid core, and that's all they need.

they do not intend to compete in the next election. they intend to steal it in broad daylight.

they'll have excuses for harsh urban-focused crackdowns thanks to the disaster. plus they can get additional leverage from their useful idiot brigades, to provide an illusion of strength and inevitability. and who knows what Putin and his band of Merry Pranksterskis has in store for us come September?

one thing should be abundantly clear by now: we cannot expect career federal employees to stand firm against these forces.
