Went to Menard's (out of town) & liquor store in town.
At the first I saw ZERO(!) people without a face covering. Well, one guy, but he was there to buy a 10 pack of masks, which they were selling at the counter right by the entrance. He did not enter the body of the store until he had one on.
At liquor store, 2 guys no mask out of 9 or 10 people coming & going.
Manager told one guy, "Don't come back here without a mask!"
So 2 out of maybe 60 shoppers and at least one got told don't come back!
Kind of encouraging.

The Menard's is in a tri-city area for around 90k.
Where I live is half way between there and a city of about 160k.
The 2 counties combined is about 800k, but the one north (where we live) is 690,000 of it.
Southern fringes of the Chicago market.

(6,935 posts)JB and Lori have been pretty good. The complainers, Obama/Pritzker haters I know are mostly people I knew from the 70s in the suburbs. They never grew out of their worldview.
It seems most people who are around a lot of other people, most of the time, mostly get along with most people. LOL

(64,865 posts)...that are cult. But, more than 95% wearing masks says they're quite sure now that this is no hoax.
Their votes aren't that harmful here, because IL is not in play for Rs. But, I'm still disgusted by their ignorance.
