(95,243 posts)Took a flier on Reade being a credible accuser.
Poorly timed, as well as stupid.
People don't like it, and there is no reason they should.
He needs to learn to do better, or find other work.

(28,313 posts)Wish I was surprised about this from Hayes, but I'm not. He's immature and shall we say, very oriented to self?

(50,978 posts)I'm unsure how much time he's provided to Trump accusers?

(31,261 posts)He has a disturbing habit of inviting rightwing talkers on his show and allowing them to run wild. Neither Nicole, Lawrence or Rachel does that.
Me.
(35,454 posts)he had a rwer on, Tim Carney from the Washington Examiner (and who was a frequent guest for a time), and he spoke of PBO as your president which Chris didn't catch and was shocked when he got criticism for not calling Carney out on that.

(8,558 posts)They didn't like his piece on the Tara Reade story from the other night so now they think he should be fired. I am not of that opinion. I don't expect my news or media to only present pieces that I agree with completely. I also like Chris Hayes and think he's fine.

(144,919 posts)I know Bidens side. Trying to figure out what the other side is for Hayes and the accuser.

(90,556 posts)A minor detail.
Also Hayes smirked his way through the episodes.

(31,261 posts)If you believe that Chris Hayes presented a "different side of the story", honestly, IMO, no one should on you to make the rational decisions that will be required to defeat Trump in November and get this country back to a state of sane leadership.

(296,848 posts)Hayes presented a one sided story with a shit eating grin. People have a right to be upset.
That's not journalism. .it's Propaganda.

(8,558 posts)It keeps changing. Who can keep up?

(31,261 posts)In an age where we will be having to defeat a liar over the next few months and his supporters, we don't need someone likeChris Hayes allowing lies to run rampant, and even promoting them.

(68,456 posts)Sanders in...always was in the tank for Sanders, and he attacked Biden all during the primary. I think he needs to fired if he keeps this up. He presented the story as fact...and attacked the New York Times because they did not find Reade credible. No one who has looked into this has found her credible. Hayes was undoubtedly aware of this. But he presented her lies as facts. He looks worse today after his whining on the subject and with the additional information that has come out about Reade. By the way Sanders is not involved in this. He has moved on which I appreciate.

(34,857 posts)It was an entirely one-sided affair that you'd expect on FOX News.
He could have presented her story but also where there's legitimate concerns about her overall changing story.
He didn't.

(7,218 posts)Hayes presented Reades accusations as credible with no mention of her very significant credibility issues. Thats not honest.

(37,156 posts)Given the general state of media I don't necessarily agree with the "Fire" part (because his replacement would be much much worse) but he does deserve a harsh rebuke for the laziness of his framing.

(8,558 posts)He also put a big spotlight on the story and pushed Joe Biden to publicly make an unequivocal statement and interview about it. Joe chose Mika to speak to, and she did her best to make him look bad, because that's how Mika rolls: she gives passes to the real a**es but wants to destroy the good guys like Biden. He did a fine job, and then went on to kick ass on all the other questions they asked.
I think the story has advanced quite a bit since his piece, and in a way that is helpful to Joe. Tara Reade is being exposed on a national scale, and her numerous inconsistencies, past behavior and actions are now being scrutinized. This will help make this story old news by midsummer. That's what we want, is for this story to be resolved sooner rather than later. Chris Hayes helped push us there.
