When does America get fed up with the bullshit?

How much longer can America tolerate the radical, irrational, untrue, and insane comments from the cult on the right?

The lies are over-flowing. The loss of all credibility is now complete.

The pandemic has now killed over 60,000 Americans, with untold millions that it might have infected and did damage to their hearts, liver, lungs, and other parts of the body.

The bullshit keeps coming out of the White House. At first, 15 cases was soon be to "zero". Then, attempting to be optimistic perhaps, there was going to be about 60,000 lost to the virus. That was only a couple of weeks ago. The lies just keep coming.

In the middle of all the bullshit, 30 million Americans filed for unemployment benefits in just the last six weeks.

Americans are growing very tired of "winning".

We have been raised, trained, conditioned to tolerate bullshit. We are taught how backwards things are, but we are supposed to accept backwards. We are taught to take bullshit on a daily basis and pretend we like it. If we cannot pretend to like it, they call us mentally ill and put us on medication to make faking liking it easier, for everyone else around to continue to live in the "reality" that was created for us to endure.

In the end, I think it has all be an experiment to see how much bullshit we can endure and how long we can lie to ourselves that how the human species lives is in any way "natural." It might be our normal, but it is not natural. That is what is wrong. We have been conditioned to accept this normal over natural. And now, here we are. It will only get worse from here. It has to get worse before it gets better, because we have to see how much bullshit we can take and pretend to like it first, apparently. That seems to be the plan, from what our leaders are telling us. How much bullshit are we willing to pretend to believe? We will find out. Apparently, we cannot get enough of the bullshit, yet. So far.

when I was exposed to Rush Limbaugh and other right wing AM radio talking heads in the early 90s, I wondered, "WTF listens to this bullshit?"

As the 90s went on and I looked around and saw so many people with a visceral hatred of Bill Clinton, when they spent the entirety of the 90s using congress to investigate him and his pet cat and whatever else. When they said he was wagging the tail and fought his efforts to try to deal with Islamic terrorism.

When they ran a feckless son of privilege and somehow managed to slander a highly competent public servant in Gore while making the case to "vote for the guy you would want to have a beer with."

When that idiot slept through warnings and let 9-11 happen on his watch, how they spent the next half decade screaming how he kept us safe, while CLEARLY lying us into Iraq.

When he was painted as tough and resolute and the actual guy who served in combat, was wounded and honored for his service was painted as weak.

When we elected an exceptionally decent and thoughtful BHO to POTUS and they lose their bloody minds and never gave him even the first chance to work with him on anything, and stimied the economic recovery to try to keep him from getting relelected.

When they ginned themselves up into a raging furor over his signing THEIR GD FORM OF HEALTHCARE into law. And for the next decade relentlessly trying to destroy the ACA with literally NO FUCKING IDEA TO REPLACE IT.

When this country saw fit to reward them all for all of that by giving them the largest mid term win in our lives.

When 47 republican senators wrote a MFing letter to Iran trying to get them to not do the Iran deal.

I mean, the list goes on and on, but point being, sadly, never. I keep fighting, knowing it is a losing battle.

But, over the last three decades, they have gotten WORSE and WORSE and the country just keeps lowing the bar to enable them to sink even lower.

The answer, I’m afraid, is in your first paragraph. WFT listens to that crap, indeed! People who have exchanged critical thinking for being lied to. The power of propaganda is strong and a lot of money has been invested in warping people’s minds on a daily basis.

Red State still sheltering in place. I wonder how long it will be before Trump starts being even more sadistic If that's possible. I also think this pandemic is a blessing in disguise.
People know exactly who is responsible for the current state of affairs. This person(not proven)
is solely responsible for the "Dismal Swamp" going forward. We just need to Keep it in the forefront of the people, Guarantee he will continue to dig himself deeper into the morass of his
OWN making will continue as he disintegrates for the world to see.

Not so solely. Remember, it takes a village. Probably one about the size of the MSM's favorite (and selectively invisible) elephant in the room, "conservatism".

and the incompetent side of Lincoln, whose poor judgment was whitewashed after the war by 60 years of GOP historians.

America only becomes interested in the truth when hard times hit. Usually that only means war or economic failures. Not sure how corona, market pratfalls, and job loss will play.

Democrats must drive the narrative and the perception. We need attack dogs. Not sure if letting Trump embalm himself with bleach is good enough. The public may think it makes him sanitary.

Ted Dealey, General Walker, Reverend Criswell, Rep. Alger and the mink coat mob...a full-on Looney Tunes cast if ever there was one.

We’ve been dealing with nutjobs forever. One of the best things about the Kennedys is they weren’t afraid to play offense against those fuckers. Shamed them. That actually had the healthy effect (among other things) of weakening the RW fringe and strengthening the Republican establishment, which, looking where we are now, was good for the country. Our party needs to channel some of that; it’s never to late to try. Playing nice isn’t what leads to epiphanies.

America used to be a country united in principles of freedom and equality, despite its struggles to achieve it.

That America has been replaced by “cannibals“ willing to eat others to keep their desires and habits fed. They will never be fed up.

A reliable 40% of Americans are now selfish assholes. They think we’re winning now. They said it: 60,000 dead is a great job.

so they will never ever get fed up with Trump. Trump loves to bait the "libs. He wants us irrational and enraged because it levels the field, gets his opponents off guard, and his base can say, "he's triggered the libs."

Pence isn't going to invoke the 25th, and Moscow Mitch is taking every opportunity to block Congress as long as he can, and Trump will be there until at least January 19, unless he keels over.

We need to focus our rage on the election and getting out the vote, where it will do the most good. It feels more powerful to be angry than to acknowledge the lack of control one has over a bad situation, but don't let it steal your valuable energy needed to do what's possible.
