It makes sense that losing track of those newly infected and who was in contact with them leads to the exponential outbreak.
It seems that the Repubs have decided to just let it run its course for better economic numbers.

Also, some of the replies on Twitter are idiotic, as expected. Merkel talks about tracing back every case to contain an outbreak and specifically mentions that a high number of newly infected cases overwhelms the capability to perform this tracing. And some idiots understood it as tracing every activity of every single citizen.
