Spiro would have been a disastrous replacement as president if Nixon had gone first. Gerry Ford was actually a decent guy, and about the only favor Nixon ever did the country, besides overseeing the creation of the EPA, was waiting until Ford was VP before resigning. Agnew was one VERY nasty piece of work.

But the self pitying clips I saw this morning trying to compare himself to Lincoln were a pathetic travesty.

Lincoln suffered, not only over the dead in the war, but his personal losses took a terrible toll.

Trump just gets fatter and more boastful. His down fall will not be pretty.
