family members used to live in that city, was a small town in the sticks when they moved there, Lakeside to the east is worse.

I never liked it there though I have lived there several times since the early 70s.

Not surprised by this at all.

4. Santee is trying change it's image. I live there.

The city is getting more diverse of late. More ethnic restaurants, nice shopping areas, more POCs than over the past 40 yrs.
This asshole is trying to agitate.

5. I remember when

none of the shopping malls were there. Walmart went up in my mom's back yard, they were one of the first to move in. Mission Gorge Rd was a two lane lined with Eucalyptus trees back when I first moved there. The whole river bed was a riparian zone that ran from Cowles Mt/ to Los Colinas prison and that was kind of out there all by itself. And the Continuation HS was at Mission Gorge and Cuyamaca as a quanset hut village. Long time ago, I know.

I was just out there a couple years ago and it was very strange to see all the development. One of the last places I held a job is now a freeway interchange at Prospect and Magnolia and a storage facility.
