Any informed voter, any rational voter, can listen to Trump for a few minutes and know that Trump has nothing to say about anything. His speech is a rambling collection of memes and slogans, wrapped in racism.

But when he tells the average Trump voter that he will make America great again, he is telling that voter exactly what the voter wants to hear.

The racist Trump voter will hear Trump's open racism, and respond to that.

The misogynistic Trump voter will recognize Trump's brutal misogyny, and respond to that.

The greedy 1% of Trump voters will recognize a fellow sociopath.

He is not really deceiving too many people. He is acting and speaking the way that they would love to act and speak.
