And almost always counter-productive.
In some cases, it can help, but usually then only because the person whose fault it is is best positioned to help fix it.
Discussing how a problem arose is best left to post mortem efforts to improve the process.

Even if the virus was accidentally released from a Chinese laboratory it does nothing to mitigate all of Trumps failures to protect the country. And it certainly does not mitigate the coming disaster pushed by Trump. It is just a distraction.
