Attempting to reopen too quickly has already failed. The virus is not slowing down and neither is the death toll. States like New York that have a stay at home order in place are seeing a slow down.

In the plan Cuomo outlined today he is putting certain standards in place before any county can attempt to slowly open up. He was also pretty clear about New York City. It is impossible for a city as unique as New York City to open back up until there is a vaccine. New York City depends on a subway system. How can you make a subway system safe?

There are counties across New York that do not have a lot of cases. When these counties reach all the standards Cuomo is putting in place they will be able to slowly open things up under strict rules.

This is what the goal of the entire country should be. You can only do what the virus lets you do and this virus is not going no where for a very long time.

Trump and his voters have a lot of blood on their hands.
