FLIPPABLE: Shea Roberts for GA-HD52
Like many Georgians, I’ve been dismayed by the direction of our state and our country in recent years. But the Parkland tragedy was a turning point for me. As I watched those students file out of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High, I decided it was time to act. I jumped into the State House District 52 election of 2018 with less than eight months to go, was outspent and outraised, and just narrowly missed winning the opportunity to represent you.
Now it’s 2020, and I’m more motivated than ever. I believe all Georgians deserve access to quality healthcare, including women seeking reproductive services. I believe our kids should be safe at school and have an education that opens doors. I know that diversity and a strong economy go hand-in-hand. And I believe that free and fair elections must be protected as the cornerstone of our democracy.
Georgia needs leaders who reflect our community’s shared values and who will work to make Georgia a place where everyone can thrive. That’s why I’m running to represent you.
But this election isn’t about me. It’s about you, your family, and the future we’re building for the next generation.
