Trump's non-stop lying about COVID19 promotes a narrative that we want to believe.

He is saying, or has said, that it will soon disappear, that the economy will come roaring back, that the US has enough tests.

And all of these demonstrably false claims are accepted by Trump voters because Trump voters wish to see a happy ending to this pandemic.

But with all of Trump's lies, there is a contradiction, and a clue that he knows that his lies are lies.

He is doing his best to shift the blame from himself to the CDC, the experts, the various State Governors, and the media. His own Administration is projecting a sharp increase in deaths and infection rates in the coming summer.

The question for us is, will the increased death toll finally penetrate into Fox universe and reach the average Trump supporter?

As long as he keeps telling people what they want to hear, 40% of the population WILL choose to believe it, no matter what their lyin’ eyes tell them.
