What the "open everything up" people really want, in my worthless opinion.

All of these miserable people "protesting" that everything be opened all want the exact same thing.

They want service. They want other people to do stuff for them that they are too damn lazy to do for themselves. They want someone to cut their hair, paint their nails, someone to cook their food and walk it to them with a big smile then run get more ketchup or another beer as they cram more jalapeño poppers into their fat heads in this booth at Applebee's (for a 5% tip if they're lucky).

They are pitiful and could not survive more than a month without someone doing for them.

To that end they'll sacrifice every single other person. You can't stay home where you're safe because you've got to serve this entitled class. The civilized countries are caring for their people while we're being forced out to serve or starve.

This is going to kill a lot of our service class. That's a damn shame but I hope it kills an awful lot of these rude entitled assholes too, enough to make a real dent in the number of assholes out there.

He wanted to sit in the restaurant where he could get free refills. He hated going through the drive-thru because he had to buy two teas.

I think he could stand to cut down on the caffeine.

The Tim Horton's near my house never stopped their drive-thru service, only the inside counter and tables were closed.

Hair? Mrs JustABozo got out the scissors and trimmed it up. It's still a little long, she's a bit cautious with the blades. But, it looks ok and I still have both ears.

We're coping.

I have been tempted so many times to drive thru Whataburger for a breakfast burger, regular burger, and those large teas. But alas I don't do it. I make a gallon of tea every few days and I make burgers twice a week usually.

Hair, I shaved my head in June and haven't touched it and wasn't going to touch it to see what it looked like in a year or two.

I drive past the local shop a few times a week, and walk past on my (should-be-daily) hike. They never closed. But, like you, I make the tea and coffee at home. It just seems more economical, even though Tim Horton's seems more reasonably-priced than, say, Starbucks.

You shaved your head and then haven't cut it in a year? That deserves a lyric from Dylan:

I'm gonna grow my hair down to my feet so strange
So I look like a walking mountain range
And I'm gonna ride into Omaha on a horse
Out to the country club and the golf course.
Carry the New York Times, shoot a few holes, blow their minds.

everywhere. It's the selfishness that brands today's Republicans, as long as they get what they want, to hell with everyone else.

The rest of us can die, drop dead right in front of them, and they might complain about to inconvenience of stepping over the body. They do not see people, they do not understand the shared community of just being a human being.

Look at Trump's behavior, everything he says or does is designed to benefit him. He does not see this as abnormal, he thinks everyone thinks like he does. He's surrounded himself with people of the same ilk, so his pettiness and his vindictive nature seems the norm.

There is the myth of the ugly American that is not looking so mythical when you see the asinine behaviors of people who are more like cud-chewing cows that suddenly find themselves with no grazing pastures rather than citizens of an advanced culture.

However, Europeans have often noted the ugly American when encountering some tourists abroad. They do nothing to create a diplomatic image as representatives and now, they are running amok here. Yes, ugly Americans are having their day even if it means illness and death for the rest of us. They insist. They will have it "their way" as walking Burger King commercials because they took advertisements like that as devotional religious precepts.

I forget which state.
One guy & one woman each said they took the day off work to attend the protest!
They gave some "rights" excuse, but these people were NOT protesting so they could return to work.

Trump/GOP do that all the time because they have the cash to waste. Then they claim dems pay "crisis actors" to fake true grass roots events. Which dems can't afford, duh. Morons.

I have no special knowledge on this, just putting out an opinion.

Their addictions to the fast ratrace service consumer self gratification economy have them Jonesing hard.

They are giving guns and booze to these idiots now and it raises the hair on my neck that some of them might kill for it.

I don't think it's about being simply selfish, and wanting service. They have been given the signal that Trump is running on a platform of "the virus is conquered, and weak Dems and libs want to stop the Dear Leader from his deserved victory", so they're protesting on behalf of personal grooming and other people cooking their meals - something which, in Barry Goldwater's time, would have been the sign of lazy effete liberals to the self-proclaimed "self-sufficient" who didn't need society to pursue happiness.
