Hawaii to reopen shopping malls, other retailers... but not all business

Shopping malls, retailers, and a host of other businesses have been given the OK to reopen under an order announced Tuesday aimed at reopening a large section of Hawaii’s economy. The businesses can reopen Thursday at 12:01 a.m.

Gov. David Ige announced the plan to ease some restrictions of his previous stay-at-home order in a news conference at the state Capitol, saying that Hawaii has successfully beaten back the coronavirus and now it’s time to focus on getting people back to work — and getting lower risk businesses back to some semblance of normal.
