I think Susan Rice makes a great impression. She seems very qualified. What are her pros and cons? (Original Post) Quixote1818 May 2020 OP

Read her book. She's tough and hardworking. Pretty much in a foreign policy niche Raven123 May 2020 #9
I don't find her charismatic. She seems cold. I doubt most people will identify with her. Karadeniz May 2020 #10

Obviously her foreign policy credentials are top notch. I like the fact that she doesn't have current Senate or Governor responsibility.

She will be bashed on her record during the Obama administration (Benghazi). I am sure they will trot out that tired whipping boy.

I think she would make a great Vice President.

They accused her of covering up over Benghazi. Because of all the mess, she was not nominated for Sec of State

I really don't want to see that relitigated in the court of public opinion. I also don't see where adding Susan Rice is going to bring in any additional voters or win any additional states.

I support Biden and voted for him in the primary, but I wish he had not signaled that he was committed to having a female candidate on the ballot. I want him to have the best qualified candidate regardless of race and gender and a candidate that will help him shore up victories in the battleground states. If he is going to nominate a woman, then I think the strongest candidates to get those victories are Lujan-Grisham, Baldwin, Whitmer, and Klobuchar.

If she could put up with the BS, i would see her as Sec State. No learning curve and will need experience as there is a real mess to clean up. Instant credibility with our allies.
