3. File a 2019 tax return via Turbo Tax Free ed.

If I was you I'd file for 2019 as the filing deadline has been extended to July 2020.

I filed this way myself but stopped at the end and printed it out. I then signed it and made a copy of it for my records and mailed it to the appropriate IRS office. It worked for me! I got the check X2 last week!

It won't cost you a thing and this way the IRS cannot say that they do not know WHO you are!

I did not need to file either, but I did anyway and it came via the U.S. Mail, not direct deposit as I thought it would have.

As I mentioned, I got the check last week.

I filed on Feb. 1, 2020 btw.

5/5. I had to fill out the online get-my-payment with the exact address copied and pasted from my 2018 tax form. I have not filed for 2019 yet.

I haven’t filed for 2019 yet. I can’t remember how much I made in 2018. I might be screwed because I took a disbursement for my 401k that year. I only worked for a month in 2019 and have been retired on SS since. I was going to do my taxes recently and can’t find my old laptop. I got hacked last summer and haven’t used it since. I moved a few months ago and now I can’t find it. I’ve avoided doing my taxes because I don’t have a copy of my taxes for 2018 but I guess I’ll just have to muddle thru without.
