Or at minimum, make a play at requiring that no Federal agencies do any reporting to any outside (domestic or international) entities ...

He can't stop the States from counting, but he can seriously undermine anybody's ability to report on what's really going on by not letting the CDC/NIH/whoever aggregate and report, esp. if he can get lots of the Red State governors to play along.

Then he'll accuse that the Blue States who ARE reporting ... that they are lying/wanting 'handouts'/trying to 'bring down Trump', etc. He'll also probably threaten to cut off Federal Aid to states that report their numbers.

I mean ... why wouldn't he?

It'd be such a Trump/GOP thing to try to pull. If pressed, they'll insist that it's hurting the economy too much to report these bad numbers.

But I doubt they'd be pressed, they'll just gaslight and gish-gallop their way through it, and the media will happily comply as they always do.

Blame the states, too. The Republican Governors will get screwed, but they deserve it and...under the bus they will go.

This is going to be a dark, difficult and perilous six-months before the General Election. We are looking at a Trumpocalypse in the making, so I would avoid any of what they call toxic positivity, wishful thinking and hopefulness.

I’m just hoping someone in the media will be sure to investigate all the death statistics. We have some world class journalists who will do just that. And as upset as Rachel Maddow has been about the government deliberate ineptness and criminal incompetence I suspect she’s going to be in the group who stay on this story.

Besides, even Trump can’t hide the pandemic raging through the population. And thirdly, Joe Biden and his campaign should be keeping both eyes on everything about Trump and this virus.

I’m hoping the Biden campaign realizes that there’s a completely different way of campaigning now which, if they do it right, will reach more people than traveling to different states. Do it on tv, use Twitter and YouTube so everyone can see his speeches on the internet. Don’t try to depend on the MSM in order to be heard. Learn to use social media. It’s here to stay, now more than ever.

First, strategy is beyond their scope.
Second, this is not a plan. They are just winging it.
Third, the states are releasing the data anyway, and states with 58% of the population have governors that don't care a whit what PINO wants.
Fourth, if it bleeds it leads. Media is still going to report dead bodies.

He could care less about the safety or welfare of the American people, and those who die mean nothing to him. This is all about him, and his remaining in office any way he can. He's risking his own supporters lives now, and many realize this too, and are leaving him.
