I'll bet you didn't see this fight coming: Steve Mnuchin vs. Axl Rose

AXL ROSE: It’s official! Whatever anyone may have previously thought of Steve Mnuchin he’s officially an asshole.

STEVE MNUCHIN: What have you done for the country lately?

AXL ROSE: My bad I didn’t get we’re hoping 2 emulate Liberia’s economic model but on the real unlike this admin I’m not responsible for 70k+ deaths n’ unlike u I don’t hold a fed gov position of responsibility 2 the American people n’ go on TV tellin them 2 travel the US during a pandemic.

Damn, I had no idea he'd become political. Didn't exactly see this coming in the 90s.

And look here, quoting a Harvard law professor:

What's interesting is that Axl didn't tag Mnuchin in the original tweet, yet Mnuchin not only learned of the tweet but responded to it.

He put the same text in response, but used the Liberian Flag emoji instead of the US flag.

I'm in my 50s and emojis often give me difficulty on my phone - he maybe have scrolled down to "flags" and picked Liberia because it looked like the American flag to his 57 year old eyes, and then a sharper eyed 20-something noticed it and said it to him.

I never saw this one coming! But it makes me hopeful that someone like Rose is becoming political!! Of course when your own life is in danger, you look at a lot of things differently.

Was there anything from Sir Paul's residence?

(I thought the musical selection was made by disgruntled employees. This admin is mega-stupid.)

I have never been a big fan of Axl, more of a Kurt Cobain guy myself but this was epic and now I am a huge fan. Serving up some Guns and Roses now on my stereo system really loud. No MP3 nonsense here. Vinyl with a diamond needle and tube pre amps. Welcome to the jungle Trump!

Odd, isn't it? I've never been a big fan of his, either, but I DEFINITELY DO like this. Maybe it's the old "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" thing.

There were quite a few political overtones during some of their performances in the ‘80s. The lyrics of the song “Civil War” talk about the poor dying in wars to benefit the wealthy. At the end of that recorded song, you can hear Axl say “What’s so civil about war anyway?”
