(16,616 posts)Damn, I had no idea he'd become political. Didn't exactly see this coming in the 90s.

And look here, quoting a Harvard law professor:

What's interesting is that Axl didn't tag Mnuchin in the original tweet, yet Mnuchin not only learned of the tweet but responded to it.

(56,829 posts)I'm in my 50s and emojis often give me difficulty on my phone - he maybe have scrolled down to "flags" and picked Liberia because it looked like the American flag to his 57 year old eyes, and then a sharper eyed 20-something noticed it and said it to him.

(586 posts)I never saw this one coming! But it makes me hopeful that someone like Rose is becoming political!! Of course when your own life is in danger, you look at a lot of things differently.

(443 posts)I have never been a big fan of Axl, more of a Kurt Cobain guy myself but this was epic and now I am a huge fan. Serving up some Guns and Roses now on my stereo system really loud. No MP3 nonsense here. Vinyl with a diamond needle and tube pre amps. Welcome to the jungle Trump!

(81,523 posts)Odd, isn't it? I've never been a big fan of his, either, but I DEFINITELY DO like this. Maybe it's the old "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" thing.

(2,276 posts)There were quite a few political overtones during some of their performances in the 80s. The lyrics of the song Civil War talk about the poor dying in wars to benefit the wealthy. At the end of that recorded song, you can hear Axl say Whats so civil about war anyway?
