Don't lose sight of the human capacity to rebuild.

Japan got nuked.

Twice.

Yes, we helped them to rebuild, I guess as some sort of atonement for being the only country in history to use nuclear weapons in a time of war. But we helped.

Forty years after the bombs fell, Japan gave the US an economic ass-kicking we richly deserved.

If we work together, we can re-build...

It's also what 'working together' is for.

We have been robbed of our national wealth so far.

However, money is not really real. It's a symbol and requires belief in its value. In that sense, it does not have to be a problem.

It's like being a carpenter and going to work and the foreman says, "No work today. We are out of inches, feet and yards." The wood and materials are all there, though.

In this case, the symbol of money and vast wealth is proving to be a barrier; an imaginary wall that keeps the wealth on one side and the people who are in desperate need now on the other. We are seeing how Neo-Liberalism works for the sake of profit now and the problems with the profitable, but precarious just-in-time, (JIT) system of distribution.

Just keep in mind that the resources are there, but the barriers are what create the shortages and exacerbate the needs, not a lack. We are rich in resources and poor in wealth. That's a ridiculous and cruel game. The suffering and poverty it creates is unconscionable and unjust. Maybe we can reboot with a better game to play?

“Spanish” flu, etc., on a small dirt farm.

We will have to work together, and most of us — but the poorest, sickest, oldest — will have to give up some things. It’s going to be the same just about everywhere in the world.

The quickest way forward is to kick GOPer rears in November.

Although, I don't think I'll be around to see the finished product. But hey, that's OK. I consider myself to be one of the guys working on the foundation!
