I've dealt with them as opposing counsel a couple times. To be honest, I'm surprised Doug Wigdor is a Republican, since most of his work is plaintiff-side employment law (though the case I had against him he was on the defense side). This is not good news for Biden - Wigdor is a good firm and this is in their wheelhouse, although I'm not sure what legal remedies she has at this point.

13. My point is, this is a legit firm

They are known for representing employees, mostly in wage and hour but some discrimination/harassment as well. I am slightly surprised they took this case, but they have taken other high profile cases, so that's probably part of their business model to get publicity. And despite what Doug Wigdor says, I'm sure politics plays a role, especially since I don't see what remedy they could get her using the legal system.
