That is quite a sobering thought.

The states where it was really bad are finally coming down. I think the daily decrease in deaths per day in NY is about the same number as the deaths per day in TX.

Wishing people to die or suffer isn't typically a liberal value. If it is, I'm in the wrong place.

A better snapshot would be over three weekdays.

At 0500 Tuesday, JHU reported 68934 deaths.
At 0500 today, it was 75670.

That's a difference of 6736 reported deaths, or 2245 a day.

Right now it doesn't make much difference of a state is red or blue or purple polka-dot. Right now, what does matter is whether or not there are food processing plants, meat (or vegetable; Cuomo cited the Madison/Oneida greenhouse operation), in a location. Close quarters spreads the CV there, and on to the stores where everyone shops, and then on to the staff that takes CV into the nursing homes and prisons.

Lots of graphs and statistics but the takeaway is that NYC is declining but everywhere else is spiking. The net result is that it looks like the Country as a whole is leveling off. But when you take away NYC numbers, you can really see the spike as evident for everywhere else.
