Just opened an email from the Most Honorable Rep. Adam Schiff:

This morning, the “President” went on Fox and Friends. Instead of mourning the death of more than 70,000 Americans, or empathizing with the 20 million newly unemployed, or announcing a national testing strategy, guess what he did?

That’s right: Trump attacked me instead. Again.

This time, Trump had this to say about me:

“Schiff is a crooked politician, crooked as can be and one of the worst I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen some beauties. A liar, he’s a terrible person, he’s terrible for our country… He’s a very very dirty crooked politician, and he is shielded from immunity, but he’ll go down. Guys like that end up going down…”

Talk about some major league projection. Why is he going after me again, in the middle of a pandemic? Because I spoke out about Bill Barr’s corrupt dismissal of the case against Michael Flynn.

Even in the midst of a national crisis of unprecedented proportions, Trump defaults to attacking anyone who holds him accountable, and I’m one of his favorite targets. But it won’t stop me from fighting to protect our democracy in Congress.

4. I have to say I am worried

I worry for all of us, but especially for hardworking Democrats like Schiff. I hope he stays away from open windows. I think we are at the point of terror and violent payback. Trump is a mobster. As we move ahead in the near future Democrats will be demonized and threatened. Trump has a trained following of fascist cultists that do his bidding.
