Watched a WWII documentary on cable earlier

There are a lot on today due to the VE day anniversary.

One interesting point they made is that the Nazis only gained power because the Social Democrats and Communists didn't ally against them. The Communists saw Social Democrats as the real enemy, not the Nazis. Then Hitler outlawed the Communist party and threw them all into concentration camps.

That got me thinking how many times have some on the left let us down with their purity tests. They helped give us Bush and now Trump.
