34. Years ago, I was just getting ready to leave a friend's house

when he spotted a snake beneath the front tire of my car. He hated snakes. With a passion. I got in on the passenger's side and crawled over to the driver's seat, turned over the ignition and drove forward about 10 feet. It turned out the snake was a Cotton Mouth, almost three feet long. My friend hated snakes. With a passion. When the car was clear of the snake, he took a square-edged shovel and chopped in into about six pieces. Then he stabbed each one of the pieces multiple times with a big BBQ fork. He hated snakes. With a passion. Then he took the skewered pieces over to the fire pit, doused them with gasoline and set them on fire.

When I asked him if that wasn't a bit of overkill, he responded, "I just wanted to make sure it was dead. You can never be too sure with snakes."

Recently we were talking and he brought up the snake. Then he said that trumpie deserved the snake treatment.

Did I mention he hated snakes ?
