EVERYTHING Mueller's team worked on for 2 years??!!
WTF?!!!
Is it because...
A) He doesn't care.
B) His allegiance is to the Republican Party.
C) He's senile.
D) Scump has threatened his family
or
E) All, or some combination of, the above.
WHERE ARE YOU, BOB?!!

(7,800 posts)I really find it hard to believe anyone would allow Barr to go on like this without challenging him!

(15,751 posts)obvious, to some.
FDR's genius, was to get things done! Like no one else. FDR got things done by doing what he could get support for. Pragmatism.
[Have seen this week running again a great PBS series, 'The Roosevelts, An Intimate History' by Ken Burns.
Back in the day, it had great reviews from DUers, and many others, when it first ran.
Very well done, in showing FDR getting slammed continuously by right and left. Got things done, again, like no one else. Sometimes by a single vote in Congress.
Expectations from Mueller, with very little power, were ridiculous. Over time, Mueller's reputation, and wisdom, will continue to rise.

(16,926 posts)When I think of all of the hype regarding "Mueller" - the hats & signs (Mueller Ain't Going Away) - and the SNL skits showing him as "on the job" and worthy of fearing - and then the burying of the entire report and the silence that ensued from the entire Mueller team - I have nothing but disgust and contempt.
It would take a serious news conference with him standing there and telling all before I'll ever consider him as someone other than another tool for IQ45.

(7,016 posts)to a man who wasted years in the end covering up more than he reviled. When finished he allowed those who were guilty to spin HIS words and work into meaningless dribble. Shame on him and all those who worked with him who know the truth. Unless he decides to have a death bed moment of conscience his reputation will fall lower, as in flat on his face.

(7,517 posts)The apologists for Mueller never cease to amaze. No one talked about his power to do something with the facts. Expecting him to back up his report and speak out more is hardly "ridiculous". It's the least he could do when our democracy is at stake. A summer soldier will be his legacy over time.

(12,618 posts)Mueller is. In my opinion, Mueller actually did a pretty good job on the investigative portion of his job, and produced a pretty damning report on Trump.
Where he completely and totally failed was in his pathetic submission to the raw corruption that Trump and Barr engaged in to cover up and misrepresent what he found. On that end, Mueller is a total coward and complete failure. We had such high hopes for him because we were told what a Boy Scout he was. The problem is, they were right. But we don't need a Boy Scout. We need a Spartacus.

(7,800 posts)Coward. Yes. Yet he was a war hero as a young man.
Wrong guy for the job, that's for sure.

(15,751 posts)event' - ala the trump pussy grabber tape, trump's repeated campaign ridiculous stupidities, an informed electorate, the 'wisdom' of the far left, the education of the far right, trump's [non-] health care promises, trump's foreign affairs failures, trump's other domestic failures, trump's 17,000 lies, etc., etc. - and yes Mueller whose very investigation was precarious and could have been ended early by trumpers, and who had no prosecutorial tools or authority.

(4,446 posts)They're all party over country. Unpatriotic.
Here's what they all ought to be reciting:
I pledge allegiance to the Republican Party
Of the United States of America.
And to the grift for which it stands:
One party, for the rich, indivisible,
With liberty and immunity for us.

(4,395 posts)He was obviously not well when he testified and didn't want to do it. If he doesn't feel up to the task and wants to retire I think he's earned it.
He led a team of dozens of other lawyers and LEOs who are also not speaking out and are mostly Democrats. It's unlikely that someone "got to" all of them.
The work is out there for anyone to read it who cares to. The people who can't be bothered to read the report are also not going to be bothered to listen to him. How do you know it's lies? Because you read the public report or at least paid attention to other media covering it.
It's a job for all of us to work on our friends, neighbours, family, workmates, casual acquaintances, etc. who have been brainwashed by Fox News - not Bob Mueller's job to sweep in and "save" everyone.
