The Glynn County Police Department said Thursday that it had no reports involving burglaries or home break-ins in the Satilla Shores neighborhood between Jan. 1 and Feb. 23. However, local media reported that one burglary, an automobile burglary, was reported to police in the Satilla Shores neighborhood during that time period.

Meanwhile, William "Roddie" Bryan, who lives a few houses down from Travis, recorded the video, according to a memo obtained by USA TODAY written by the district attorney who previously led the investigation into Arbery's death.

The memo said Bryan joined the father and son in "hot pursuit" of Arbery.

McMichael did not tell police how or when Bryan became involved in the incident or why he recorded it on video. Bryan is listed on the police report as a witness.

Although up until it was released authorities weren't doing anything about the killing.

Conscience? Hard to believe that. It's a mystery why he really gave it up.

It's disgusting that he took the video in the first place. To watch it with his murderous buddies and gloat? Hateful.

WHY was there a "videographer" there ? He wasn't just a by-stander who just happened to observe the act. He was every bit as involved as the two murders. The way that he steady-cammed the entire shot with his cell phone is deeply disturbing.

They planned this. It was a set up hit. This was a pre-meditated act of murder. Their excuse fails on an epic scale. If this man had burglerized someone's home, where are his "tools" ? Or the "loot" he just stole ? Because after a job, every B+E man goes for a jog in his jogging clothes. Unarmed. BS.

That no one was arrested for over two months is so typical of GA justice when it comes to people of color. Make NO mistake: White privilege is alive and well and prospering in GA. It took outrage from the entire nation before these killers were ever brought before the justice system.

The late Richard Pryor once said (I'll paraphrase here.) "Justice ? Yea. Because when you go down to the police station, that's all you see. JUST. US."

People of color are under attack in this country, and I am sick to death of it. It starts with that racist fuck in the WH and his little racist ass-lickers.

I did NOT wear the uniform of this nation for us to come to "By the people, of the people and for the people . . . " as long as you're white.

I want to know how on Earth the original sheriff looked at this and decided not to investigate on the basis that the McMichaels were in legal pursuit of a "criminal" suspect. WHO decided Arbery was a criminal ? Based on WHAT ?

Georgia law is very specific on citizen's arrests. You SHALL NOT detain by force . . .

The sheriff needs to fired then prosecuted for failing the citizens of his jurisdiction for failing to keep them safe and allowing two stone-cold killers to walk free. I guess people should just be lucky that these two racist shits didn't decide to pursue anyone else they thought was a criminal.

The entire chain of command needs to be investigated under "the hot lights" and disciplined accordingly.

That Joe Biden was also calling this out, while the head turd in the WH has had nothing to say should not surprise me . . .

BLACK LIVES MATTER.

it was the DA:

BRUNSWICK —

Two Glynn County commissioners say District Attorney Jackie Johnson’s office refused to allow the Glynn County Police Department to make arrests immediately after the Feb. 23 shooting death of Ahmaud Arbery.

The GBI announced the arrests of Travis McMichael, 34, and his father Greg McMichael, 64, on Thursday - more than two months after the fatal shooting. They were denied bond Friday afternoon.

“The police at the scene went to her, saying they were ready to arrest both of them. These were the police at the scene who had done the investigation,” Commissioner Allen Booker, who has spoken with Glynn County police, told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “She shut them down to protect her friend McMichael.”

Greg McMichael, now retired, once worked as an investigator in Johnson’s office.

This was known to the police the same day it all occurred, though the video wasn't known until much later.

Roddie probably posted it to Youtube not realizing that it could come back to haunt him.
