The Other Shoe that Hasn't Dropped

One thing has been missing as the Corona Virus has played out.

No one really famous has died.

I mean there have been some well known people but no one really famous.

It is the one thing that could really galvanize attention with an "oh shit" moment and just maybe reset some attitudes. Especially if it were someone relatively young and healthy.

In early March, there was a very tentative approach to cautionary moves. Then Tom Hanks got it and everybody freaked out. Rudy Gobert got it and the NBA was shut down within hours.

Having famous victims puts a familiar name and face on what is otherwise a statistic for many people.

I don't mean to sound ghoulish and I certainly don't want it to happen. It just seems inevitable with the numbers where they are.

Someone will be the Rock Hudson for this epidemic.

But I don’t think he was all that famous.

What percentage of the people do you think knew of him before all this?
