Also right-wingers: "How dare Costco make me wear a mask! That's tyranny!"

Right-wingers: "Companies should be able to have whatever policies they want, w/o government interference. It's PRIVATE enterprise!"

Also right-wingers: "How dare Costco make me wear a mask! That's tyranny!"

Translation: We just meant companies should be able to fire the gays

Exactly spot on...
The tyranny only exists when a company seeks to exert control over THEIR behaviours, not when they want to deny certain communities opportunities, or when they try and deny coverage for birth control etc et al. They are such self entitled privileged whiny wankers. They are exhausting.

Don't want to wear a face mask. Then...

It requires a government or ruler of some sort, neither of which Costco falls under. What Costco is doing is no different than someone asking you to take off your dirty shoes when you enter their home.

I’m old enough to remember contemporary right-wingers screaming about slovenly hippies and claiming that shop-keepers has every right to keep those dirty hippies out of their stores and cafes.

My, how rhetoric and attitudes have changed in this post-Walmart world.

I suspect that we’re probably within a decade or two of each other age wise. If a period nut -job had seen a contemporary (ie 2020AD) actress or pin-up girl in a Stars and Stripes blouse or swimsuit, the explosion would have rivaled some of the big nuclear tests in Nevada back in the 1950’s.

Where wearing a mask and Social Distancing is not required, unless I am missing something here.

Was in one a few weeks ago to buy thread. None to be had. People were not wearing masks, but I was, including gloves.
