The Russian government said it would "certainly accept" President Trump's offer to donate ventilators to treat coronavirus patients in the country.
Trump said Wednesday that the U.S. would be willing to send ventilators to Russia, noting that "they're having a hard time in Moscow. We're going to help them."
"Russia will certainly accept the kind offer if necessary," Russian President Vladimir Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov responded Thursday, according to The Associated Press.
The administration also pledged to support other countries such as Italy, Spain and France, which are also facing supply shortages due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

It's the admission of need that would be the sticking point.
As would showing that sending them would be short-shrifting US COVID sufferers. There's this idea that the US had a great shortfall of ventilators, but that was mostly a prediction that didn't come to past treated as a future fact that necessarily would happen by the media. And since it necessarily would happen, it happened even if it didn't.
I wouldn't be surprised if we had sent Russia some ventilators. Since we're building more and didn't need anywhere the number we already had, for now we're good and can afford it. (I guess the Russians deserve to die, what with being Russian and all, so we should withhold help. It's the progressive way?)
