Are Corona Virus Deaths Under Reported By 50%? I Say Possibly More Than 50%

Even though many people who died did not get tested for Covid-19 for some reason more Americans are dying now than at this time last year. By a lot. I have seen some graphs, but I have no way to judge their accuracy. As a student of history I would say it is a lot worse than it seems.

Read This:

"New Jersey deaths — from any cause — topped 14,220 by April 30. Last April, New Jersey recorded 5,992 deaths.

Read More: More than twice as many died in April 2020 than last year in NJ |

So this is in New Jersey. I am sure elsewhere too.

After watching the Bush Crime Family and the Trump Mob lie about everything, why should I trust these numbers they report?

They know most Americans will buy anything.

It is a lot worse than the 80,000 number we see today.

Stay Safe.

They have a patient dying of cancer by gets a positive covid test and it’s counted as covid. Cancer numbers and other maladies will go down this year.

For that reason it has to be reported. Suspected covid cases are reported by hospice docs because they know the patterns. My hospice is in the Chicagoland area. Our governor is big on data.

of an agency or person who can determine the underlying cause of death.

If an elderly or otherwise infirm person is found deceased the local authorities/coroner is likely to report that last known morbidity.

In the US of A, there aren't enough tests to waste on those already dead, let alone alive.

It's not a perfect system, and even those who are fairly asymptomatic and would die anything during the 2-3 month window get classed that way. It's a slight overcount, were everybody to be tested.

I'm down with looking at averages, adjusting for anything gnarly (like an extreme flu season) and going from there.

https://www.nj.gov/health/chs/documents/2015-2020%20Deaths%20by%20Month%20and%20County%20of%20Residence.pdf
April '19 in NJ, 5 922 deaths recorded. It's lower than months on either side, so I'll round up to 6 000.
April '20 in NJ, as of 5/7, 16 233 COVID deaths recorded. Call it 10 000 additional deaths. Close enough for what I'm going to say.

https://www.nj.com/coronavirus/2020/05/coronavirus-likely-killed-more-people-in-april-than-anything-else-in-nj.html
Claims 7011 covid deaths (let's round to 7000).

So they underreported by 3k. 7k instead of 10k.

It's likely they underreported by more, since some small but non-trivial percentage of the deaths probably would have happened in any event but were recorded under cover of COVID.

But, of course, all the numbers are up for grabs as the data reports aren't finalized.

Example: If every year we have about 5,000 people die, but in 2020 over the same period we had 50,000 people die, I would bet COVID-19 had something to do with it. That will prove the destructive nature of COVID unless there are new serial killers everywhere.

So the cancer death charged to COVID-19 argument to prove COVID is not a big deal sucks. And that data is already coming out.

He had had terminal cancer, but caught covid in a nursing home and died of that first. I heard through a friend who knows the family that his death certificate says cancer.

"Demographers often use measures of total deaths, sometimes called all-cause mortality, to evaluate the effects of natural disasters, where it can be difficult to trace particular causes."

It's just math.

the obituary section of the Philly Inquirer is triple the size it usually is, the notices are very expensive. I have been apprised of more deaths than I’ve ever been informed of in my practice. People are coming in and mentioning how this one or that one died and they can’t go to the funeral because there isn’t one or the wake or shiva or repast because there isn’t one. I’ve never heard this volume before. Now perhaps people are sensitized but I just don’t know....

Change from 5 year average, adjusted for other causes that are abnormally reduced due to stay at home orders. Unless there's been a sudden uptick in heart attacks and strokes, which I seriously doubt, the data is unequivocal. Covid-19 deaths are significantly higher than reported.
